Best Laptop Deals for August 2018

Apple's most affordable tablet just got a little cheaper.

Walmart has the Apple iPad Mini 4 128GB Tablet for $299.99. That's $100 off and the best price we've seen for this tablet. Although it doesn't pack the latest A10 processor (instead it uses Apple's A8 CPU), it still provides snappy performance, whether you're streaming Netflix or playing a round of Mortal Kombat X.

Walmart also has the 2017 Apple iPad 128GB for $349 ($100 off). The 5th-gen iPad lacks Apple Pencil support, but it's otherwise a fantastic tablet for students. Meanwhile, Amazon once again has its Fire Tablet 8 w/ 32GB for $89.99 ($20 off).

For students who need an affordable laptop that can give them seamless access to Google's host of services (like Gmail and Google docs), Dell has its entire line of Inspiron Chromebooks on sale with prices starting at $179.99. Each model has an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 LCD,  1.6GHz Celeron N3060 CPU,  4GB of RAM, and at least 16GB eMMC.

If you need more power, Dell also has multiple XPS 13 laptops on sale, including the XPS 13 9360 and the Editors' Choice XPS 13 9370. Use coupon code "50OFF699" on all laptops priced $699 or more to save an extra $50. That results in starting prices of $699.99 and $949.99, respectively. Keep in mind that the best discounts are not on the base models, but on the step-up models that include both a dollar-off discount. We particularly recommend this XPS 9360 configuration for $899.99 via coupon code "50OFF699". That's $200 off and it features a 1.6GHz Core i5-8250U quad-core CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.

For the ultimate Chromebook experience, Amazon has Google's Pixelbook on sale for $749, which is a whopping $250 off.

Not in market right now for a notebook. But my next one won't have a Celeron or Core M CPU. It's Intel HQ quality or a AMD Ryzen. I am tired of the ultra low powered crappy Intel's.
