Why settle for just one screen when you're away from home workstation? While Lenovo broke new ground by building a second display into their ThinkPad W700ds, D-Link makes portable multi-monitor available for any notebook, with its USB SideStage display. Although we're aware that not everyone wants to carry around a 1.3-pound secondary display, we also realize it's a product category that no one's attempted before.
Moreover, we were impressed by the quality of the display itself. Not much got lost in the shrinking process: the 7-inch screen is bright and sharp, and works as well for movie watching as it does for displaying IM conversations. Best of all, it's USB-powered, making it extra low maintenance. Not your speed? Fair enough. But here at LAPTOP, where we specialize in mobile tech, we love it when companies bring portability to products that were never mobile before.
