As Memorial Day Weekend approaches, we're seeing some great deals. Our favorite deal right now is on the Dell XPS, our favorite consumer laptop. You can buy the normally $611 laptop for just $509 with a 1080p screen and 128GB SSD. We've also found a laptop with a 1080p screen and SSD for under $500 and a couple of palatable options under $300. Also, there are some great bargains on other products such as SSDs, iPads and high-res monitors.

Why this is a Good Deal: Our favorite consmer laptop, the Dell XPS 13 packs a gorgeous bezel-free screen, speedy SSD and nearly 12 hours of battery life into an attractive, 2.6-pound package. Dell's usual starting price for the XPS 13 is $799, with a slowish Core i3 CPU and just 4GB of RAM. Now, on Amazon, you can get the XPS 13 with a Core i5-6200U CPU, 8GB of RAM and 128GB SSD for just under $800; those specs would cost around $1,000 at Dell.

Why this is a Good Deal: For under $700, you get the 15.6-inch Inspiron 15 5000, outfitted with some pretty powerful components, including a Core i7-6500U CPU, AMD Radeon R5 M335 graphics, a 1080p display and 8GB of RAM. When we reviewed a different config of this laptop, we praised its strong performance, solid battery life and comfy palmrest.

Why this is a Good Deal: This is one of the best deals we've ever seen on a laptop, let alone one with a best-in-the-world keyboard. For just $509, you get the ThinkPad 13 with a 1920 x 1080 display, a 128GB SSD and over 9 hours of battery life. This 3.1-pound laptop has an aluminum lid, is MIL-SPEC durability tested, and is also one of the first to offer a USB Type-C port for charging and data. We recommend buying the silver-colored model, which comes standard with the 1080p screen (the black one doesn't) and adding a Core i5 CPU ($70 more). Configuring with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD would also be a good idea, though you can upgrade the RAM and storage after purchase.

Why this is a Good Deal: For under $250, you get a very capable 2-in-1 with a bright screen, solid performance and a good build quality. This Inpsiron 11 3000 configuration's Celeron CPU isn't the fastest on the block but is more than adequate for the price. You won't find a true 2-in-1 for much less than this.

Why this is a Good Deal: This 15.6-inch HP Laptop, which has the awkward model number of 15-ay013nr, offers a few premium features you rarely see in systems selling for under $500. Other key specs include an Intel 6th Generation Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM and a DVD burner.
