"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only," French fashion designer Coco Chanel once said. Coco wasn't a techie, but she knew fashion and that it exists everywhere—even in laptops.
When it comes to laptop design, Apple might come first to mind, but some of today’s most jaw-dropping laptops come from a variety of notebook manufacturers and are Microsoft Vista ready. Nigel Barker, a judge on the hit reality show America’s Next Top Model and a renowned photographer, knows just as much about what makes a good-looking laptop as he does about what makes a stunning model in a bikini. He uses both a Sony VAIO and an Ego Signature in his daily life, but he has his opinions on all the laptop styles of today. "When I am judging models, I think about how they have to have the brains and the brawns; it is the same with computers," he said.
What happens when you put eight of the most stylish notebooks on the fashion runway? Nigel does what he does best—judges. Nigel told us what made each of our top fashionable notebooks a strong contender and what would hold them back from becoming a finalist. In the end, like Miss America, only one could rise to the top.Check out Nigel's critiques of these laptops!
