If you're looking for a powerhouse machine, the Dell XPS 15 is the laptop to get. Don't let its stylish, 0.7-inch thick aluminum design fool you, it performs just as well as it looks. The new Dell XPS 15 brings the latest 13th Gen Intel Core Raptor Lake CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU to the series.
In our previous-gen Dell XPS 15 review, we loved its attractive premium chassis, bright, vivid, super high-res display and excellent audio. The laptop's great overall and graphics performance impressed us so much that it won our Editor's Choice award.
In terms of configurations, we recommend the Intel Core i9 CPU, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, and RTX 4070 GPU if you want workstation-like power. Alternatively, you can opt for a model with a 4K OLED display, which is enough to make your MacBook Pro-toting friends envious.

Among all the Dell laptops out there, the XPS 13 is the best overall. The latest model packs Intel's 12th Gen Alder Lake processor, which gives it a nice performance boost. The base model Dell XPS packs a 13.4- inch (1920 x 1200) anti-glare display with 500 nits of brightness. Powering the machine is a 3.3-GHz 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1250U 10-core CPU paired with 16GB of RAM, Iris Xe graphics and 512GB PCIe NVMe x2 SSD.
Though we didn't get to test the 12th Gen Intel configuration, we were smitten over its predecessor. The previous-gen Dell XPS 13 review won us over with its lightweight, sophisticated design, bright, vibrant display and solid performance. We gave the Dell XPS 13 a high rating of 4.5 out of 5-stars — backed by our Editor's Choice Award.
In performance tests, its 11th Gen Intel CPU handled just about everything we threw at it and never stuttered. We expect the upgraded Intel 12th Gen CPU to be on par with multitasking. Super portable and powerful, the Dell XPS 13 is the best laptop for college students, business pros, and anyone else looking for an everyday machine.
