An unlimited data plan costs $79.99 per month, or $59.99 a month if you commit to a two-year contract-and you don't have to sign up for a voice plan to get the lower rate. If that's still too rich for your blood, you can opt for a 30MB plan for $39.99 per month.

Setup and installation took about ten minutes, and was very straightforward. As for speed, Web surfing was on a par with the other services. CNN.com took 12 seconds to load, and our Gmail Inbox was available in 10 seconds. Downloading a 5.62MB file completed in a very fast 27 seconds, the best time in this group. However, it took a surprisingly long 59 seconds to upload our 991KB test file, slower than Cingular and Verizon's cards.
