Fashion Week brought the unveiling of the second generation Vivienne Tam edition HP Mini, but today's product announcements from HP bring even more elegantly designed devices. HP teamed up with designer Tord Boontje to add even more beauty to the Mini 110.
Thanks to HP's Imprint 3D technology the complex and attractive design of foliage and fauna on the lid has a depth to it. The pattern continues on the inside -- the palmrest and trackpad are accented with floral grace notes.
The design evokes lace but isn't so lacy as to put off male consumers. Where the Vivienne Tam edition is aimed at the fashionista set, the Studio Tord Boontje Mini is meant to be a companion for the everyday woman. And where the Vivienne Tam is also priced for the fashionista set, I was extremely pleased that the Studio Tord Boontje starts at $399.
