Huawei has big news for fans of digital drawing and art. On May 7, 2024, it is launching the new GoPaint app, which will help artists unlock their creativity through tablet drawing. Whether you are a complete beginner or a professional artist, the GoPaint app has all the features you need to create your next masterpiece.

New Huawei GoPaint digital art app coming May 7

On May 7, 2024, Huawei’s new GoPaint app will be available in the App Gallery of certain Huawei tablets. The app follows Huawei’s GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity, a global art contest that ran from January until the end of February 2024. The GoPaint app will carry on the original contest’s goal to encourage people to create and enjoy creating.

Unlike other digital art apps, GoPaint was developed by Huawei 2012 Laboratories and other R&D teams from eight fields, including materials, physical optics, and graphics rendering, and partnering with the top fine arts team. The app will feature all the tools digital artists need, including over a hundred brushes and painting functions. At the same time, GoPaint is designed to be accessible to people who are completely new to drawing on a tablet. Beginner artists will be able to tap into tutorials in the GoPaint app to help them get started.

Huawei MatePad: The perfect companion for the GoPaint app

Since the GoPaint app was designed by Huawei’s own R&D team, it works seamlessly with the Huawei MatePad and Huawei MatePad Pro series along with the M-Pencil. These devices are the perfect companions for digital artists looking to express their creativity through the new GoPaint app.

The M-Pencil (3rd generation) features over 10,000 pressure sensing levels and ultra-low latency so you can get the most accurate pen strokes possible. The 13.2-inch OLED display on the Huawei MatePad Pro pairs the M-Pencil with a sharp, colorful canvas.

Plus, when you’re not bringing your next masterpiece to life in the GoPaint app, you can use the MatePad for all your everyday tasks. The detachable smart magnetic keyboard makes it easy to search for inspiration, study, or check off tasks for work. Huawei’s Super Device feature markallows you to seamlessly connect with other devices so that you can share your art with just a few taps.

If you’re excited to start creating with the new GoPaint app,  look for it in the App Gallery on your MatePad or MatePad Pro tablet.
