Best Lifestyle Application
Save a dime and cut down on those AT&T minutes. Then ditch the goofy headset and use your iPhone and Skype minutes to call your Grandma in Italy from any hotspot. At CTIA Wireless 2009, Skype announced its highly anticipated iPhone application, and while many were skeptical about the call quality, we were impressed by both its clarity and the user interface. Besides, it's the first time Skype has been available on the iPhone: it will change the way mass consumers view VoIP on their cell phones, and it'll help you save on long-distance costs (whenever you're in a hotspot range).
The software lets you seamlessly call your Skype contacts or long distance/local numbers all from your iPhone, and it even syncs up with your existing contact list, so you don't have to enter in numbers that already exist in your address book.
The application is available for free, so if you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, it's about time you do.
