You still have to take off your shoes and belt. And you’ve still got to remove the change from your pockets. But, with checkpoint-friendly bags, you don’t have to expose your laptop and grab a separate bin to put it in. Thanks to collaboration with the TSA, these business traveler-friendly bags are designed to lay flat on the conveyor belt, keeping your notebook stowed in a separate compartment. But just how much easier do these bags make things for travelers? While we were unable to account for the time it takes for an X-ray screener to look at two bins versus one bag, we were able to estimate just how much time you save in the security line, versus removing the notebook and putting it back in.
