Christina’s two-year old Gateway W340UI had some decent specs—a 1.73-GHz Dual Core Pentium processor, discrete ATI graphics, 1GB of RAM, 120GB hard drive, and Windows Vista Home Premium—but a cracked screen meant that she and her system were chained to an external monitor.
