IBM ThinkPad 700 Series (1992)

The iconic pointing stick that is so closely tied with the ThinkPad series of business machines made its debut 17 years ago in the IBM ThinkPad 700 series, which allowed mobile professionals to manipulate the cursor with even more accuracy. The ThinkPad 700 series featured a 25-MHz IBM 486 SLC processor, 4MB of RAM, 80MB or 120MB hard drives (some of the largest at the time), and a 9.5-inch (640 x 480) display.
