Anyone looking to purchase a netbook in the past year has a plethora of choices and very likely a clear idea of what a netbook is good for. However, knowing what you want out of a netbook may not help narrow down your choices much. Just eliminating the 7 and 8.9-inch machines, you're left with over half a dozen 10-inch choices, all of which can seem pretty similar.
Back in November '08 we compared five of the leading 10-inch netbooks to see which scored best in performance, design, and value. The Samsung NC10 and the MSI Wind U110 led the pack with excellent battery life and user-friendly design (which included great keyboards). But now there's a new 10-incher on the block: the Acer Aspire One. Plus, both ASUS and MSI released updates to their models. So we decided to take a fresh look.
