We are still waiting to get our hands on the $699 premium Eee PC S101, but we also wouldn't mind pawing an Eee PC that went back to its low-cost roots.

Today, Fujitsu announced a couple of changes to its notebook lineup. Starting with style, the LifeBook A6220 (starting at $1,299) is available with interchangeable lids, a feature Fujitsu pioneered with the LifeBook A1110.

Samsung announced this morning that it will expand its notebook business into the North American market. The company has manufactured laptops for Dell and others and has offered its own branded notebooks overseas.
