When we reviewed Windows Mobile 6, we found it to be an improvement over Windows Mobile 5. It has a friendlier UI that reminds us of Vista, a quicker IE Web browser, and better stability overall.WinPhones_sh
 
Still, on Windows Mobile phones without sufficient memory, there's a constant memory-hogging lag every time a program launches or a menu opens. The built-in Internet Explorer makes even the most attractive Web pages look awful, and load times are much longer than they could be on a more robust browser.
 
Below are five Windows Mobile phones that improve on Windows Mobile 6 by offering unique features and improvements and a few that make the Windows Mobile experience even worse than it has to be. Some of these phones lack a quick enough CPU or enough memory to keep up with Windows Mobile. Others have physical attributes that make them uncomfortable or difficult to use.
 
The bottom line is that Windows Mobile can be a good experience—if you pick the right device.
