It’s no secret that flight delays have reached epidemic proportions in the U.S. Nearly 25 percent of all domestic flights were delayed during the first 10 months of 2007, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. The bad news is that airlines aren’t required to provide any amenities or compensation for a delayed flight. Sure, you can gauge potential delays at www.FlightAware.com and www.FlightStats.com. But these sites aren’t crystal balls.
