Quick Recovery is data recovery software that will locate and recover your lost files. It will search for a variety of file types, including FAT16, FAT32, NTFS and more, on current Windows operating systems. This file recovery application can handle most of the common file types that are available today.
When you are searching for your deleted or lost files, you have the option of choosing one of three scan modes. These options include quick recovery, exhaustive recovery and raw recovery. During our testing, we tried all three modes. The quick recovery was unable to find all of our files; however, the exhaustive recovery found everything.
One of the features we like about Quick Recovery is that it is compatible with many different camera cards. Some of these even include proprietary cards, such as the Canon Secure Digital card as well as the Kodak Picture Card. In addition, this file recovery software is able to pull data from XD, SD and mini SD cards. It also supports attached USB drives or thumb drives.
Another great feature that Quick Recovery offers is the ability to search your disk partitions for lost files. This includes both formatted partitions and partitions that have previously existed. Additionally, this file recovery application can locate lost files on hard drives that have bad sectors. This is a great feature, since most data recovery applications do not have this ability.
We found that Quick Recovery is a bit difficult to install. However, the developers do offer a great set of support documentation, which comes in handy when you're installing this file recovery application. Once we had Quick Recovery installed, it worked pretty well. In addition, if you have questions you can use the email address provided on the company's website. You'll also find a chat forum noted on the website; however, it has not been created on the website yet and the online chat button did not seem to work.
Quick Recovery did a great job in recovering most of our lost files. It also works with a wide array of files, including FAT16, FAT32, NTFS and more. We are impressed that it can find files on hard drives with bad sectors as well as on numerous specific camera cards. However, installation can be a bit tricky. Once you have it installed, you will appreciate Quick Recovery for its available features.
