How To Program the iPhone OS Home Button

The home button is for more than getting back to your apps.

By default, a double tap of the Home button brings up your favorite contacts. But you can program it to quickly launch the camera, begin a search, or open multimedia controls so the device can be used as an MP3 player when locked. Go to Settings > General > Home.
