Change What the Windows Power Button Does

The power button on the Start Menu, by default, is set to shut down your Windows 7 computer in one click. But what if you would rather lock the system, restart it, or send it into sleep mode?

To change the power button’s setting:

• Right-click on the Start button (or on the power button itself)
• Click Properties.
• Select the action of your choice from the Power Button Action menu
• Click OK.
