Add a Browser Address Bar to the Taskbar in Windows 7

If you want to get to a Web site without launching a Web browser, Windows 7 has an answer.

by Avram Piltch, Online Editorial Director on October 1, 2009

Want to skip the browser and hop straight to the web from your desktop? Here's how you do it.

a) Right Click on the Taskbar.

b) Select Properties, and then check Address in the Toolbars tab.

c) Hit OK. You’ll now be able to enter Web addresses into your Taskbar directly, and the pages you enter will launch your default browser, be it Internet Explorer or Firefox.
