How to Restart a Frozen iPod

Restarting your iPod is simple as one, two... that's it.

RestartiPod_shYour iPod usually plugs along, pumping out tunes and serving as your soundtrack at the gym and on the train. But what if it suddenly stops? Before you call Apple, try this quick trick.

1. For all iPods with a Click Wheel (including the nano, color, mini, and video iPod), slide the Hold button back and forth once.

2.
Next, press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for a few seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. If nothing happens, try repeating this step.

Quick Tip

If your iPod still won’t unlock, try plugging it into your PC or into an outlet.
