One of our reservations about the Acer Aspire one is the fact that you cannot easily add applications to its Linpus Lite Linux operating system. While Acer did a fine job of creating an easy and straightforward user interface, advanced users will want to be able to tweak the operating system's settings, and access the package manager so they can install additional applications or upgrade thsoe which come preinstalled.
Fortunately, there's an advanced desktop menu that contains shortcuts to a full suite of hidden control panel applications, including a package manager for installing software. This secret menu is just waiting for those who know the right commands.
