iGo powerXtenderiGo's powerXtender+ provides a simple, inexpensive means of keeping your devices charged anywhere.![]() Price:

By Stewart Wolpin iGo's powerXtender+ is an imperfect but handy insurance policy against dead cell phones, iPods, digital cameras, and most other low-power gadgets. Load four AA batteries into the 4.5 x 2.2 x 1-inch case and clip on the device-specific connector tip ($9.99 each) to get an extra 8 to 45 hours of power, depending on the gadget.
Getting started couldn't be easier. Just plug it in and it works. There are no buttons, just an LED that lets you know the powerXtender+ is working. iPods will simultaneously charge and play when connected to the powerXtender+, but your cell phone's internal battery needs a sufficient juice boost before you can make a call, meaning you can charge and use it simultaneously, just not right away. A single set of AAs completely charged a RAZR in less than two hours and powered several hours of iPod play. You'll need to power down your device to get a full charge, however, and it's recommended that you use the powerXtender+ before your battery is completely drained. There's no provision to logistically carry multiple device tips, practically ensuring that you'll lose one. We wish the powerXtender+ came with a carrying case for this reason, but knowing there's extra power in your pack negates our quibbles. Compare Prices | iGo powerXtender Specifications
