Fujitsu Announces Four New Notebooks

Powered by the Intel Next Generation Centrino Processor Technology, the T4220, E8310, A6030, and E8410 packs power and productivity.

Today, Fujitsu debuted four new notebooks powered by the Intel Next Generation Centrino processor technology: The Fujitsu LifeBook T4220 convertible tablet, the LifeBook E8310 business machine, the mainstream LifeBook A6030, and the flagship model, the Fujitsu LifeBook E8410.

The LifeBook E8410 is a 6.1-pound corporate notebook equipped with a 15.4-inch display, a magnesium-alloy casing, Vista Business or XP Professional, an optional 1.3-megapixel webcam for videoconferencing, up to 4GB of RAM, up to a 120GB hard drive capacity, a spill-resistant keyboard, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a modular 8X DVD+/-R DL drive, a fingerprint reader and SmartCard slot, a choice of three Intel Core 2 Duo processors, and Intel GMA X3100 graphics (with an option for a powerful discrete Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS card). It’s also one of the first notebooks featuring Intel Centrino Pro technology for enhanced security and wireless manageability and will start between $1,299 and $2,000.

The LifeBook T4220 Tablet PC is a 4.3-pound convertible notebook designed for mobile professionals who need the flexibility of a table for note-taking or a traditional keyboard for standard PC use. It packs an Intel 2.4-GHz, Vista Business Edition, 1GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive, 802.11/a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 8X DVD+/-R DL optical drive, a fingerprint reader, and a bi-directional display hinge, which turns the screen in both directions for added convenience. It has a starting price of approximately $1,750.

The LifeBook A6030 features a 15.4-inch display, a 1.8-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 processor, up to 2GB of RAM, an 8X DVD +/-R DL, Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Vista Home Premium, a spill-resistant keyboard, 1 20GB hard drive, a Smart Card slot, and an optional point-and-write touchpad for signature capture for notetaking. This machine starts at $1,249.

The LifeBook E8310 business machine features a 15-inch anti-glare display (1,024 x 768-pixel display), can support a massive 4GB of RAM, a choice of three Intel Core 2 Duo processors, a hard drive with up to 120GB capacity, a spill-resistant keyboard, a modular 8X DVD+/-R DL drive, stainless steel hinges for increased durability, and Shock Sensor hard drive protection technology. It has a starting price of approximately $1,200.
