Acer Announces the Aspire 5920

New notebook features Intel's latest high-powered Centrino processors.

Today, Acer announced the Aspire 5920, a new multimedia notebook series that combines the company's Gemstone design with the new Intel Next Generation Centrino technology.
 
The Acer Aspire 5920, clothed in the new Apsire Gemstone design for an eye-catching, head-turning aesthetic, features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a 15.4-inch widescreen display (with Acer CrystalBrite technology), graphics courtesy of Nvidia's GeForce 8600M-GT card, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, multimedia controls, an ExpressCard slot, a 5-in-1 card reader, up to 200GB of hard drive capacity, and up to 4GB of RAM.  The notebook can also be outfitted with an optional HD-DVD drive, Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, or Ultimate, and the Acer Bluetooth ExpressCard VoIP phone for placing calls through the Internet.
 
Pricing information has yet to be determined.
